求一篇关于科技的英语作文,160字左右大神们帮帮忙
The Internet enables us to improve communication, erase physical barriers, and expand our education. Its absorption into our society has been extraordinary. The “Net” touches nearly every part of our lives from how we apply for jobs and where we get our news,to how we find friends.A few Web sites have virtually replaced some things, like the encyclopedia and the phone book. But with acceptance comes a decrease in skepticism. You may assume that the same laws or societal rules that protect your privacy in the physical world apply to the digital world as well. But the Internet remains largely unregulated and the policies governing it underdeveloped. As you continue to embrace the technology it is important to be aware that in many ways it is still uncharted territory.Knowing how to navigate through cyberspace, even if that means proceeding at your own risk,is essential to using the Internet.

关于科学的,100字数左右,1 科学技术是人们的生活更舒服 2 科学技术带来的问题 3 我们怎么办
Technology is a necessary force in modern life.we use technology to develop economy, change our life and quicken the pace of development.Without it,we might still stay in a poor society. We might have no TVs,no computers and even no lights. We might have to work by hands instead of by machines and read many books to gain new knowledge instead of making use of computer nets. It"s believed that technology improves our life.
But technology is not always a positive force in modern life.If it is not used in the right way,it may be harmful and even dangerous to people. For example,as a result of advanced technology, computer viruses have been made by some people with personal purposes, and obviously everyone knows what harm they do.We can see that under the influence of the negative effect of technology, our society may be faced with a great danger.
So we should make use of the positive force of technology to develop our modern life and reduce its negative effects.【关于科技的英语作文】

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the intelligence of machines and the branch of computer science that aims to create it.Textbooks define the field as "the study and design of intelligent agents,"[1] where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chances of success.[2] John McCarthy, who coined the term in 1956,[3] defines it as "the science and engineering of making intelligent machines."[4]
The field was founded on the claim that a central property of humans, intelligence—the sapience of Homo sapiens—can be so precisely described that it can be simulated by a machine.[5] This raises philosophical issues about the nature of the mind and limits of scientific hubris, issues which have been addressed by myth, fiction and philosophy since antiquity.[6] Artificial intelligence has been the subject of optimism,[7] but has also suffered setbacks[8] and, today, has become an essential part of the technology industry, providing the heavy lifting for many of the most difficult problems in computer science.[9]
AI research is highly technical and specialized, deeply divided into subfields that often fail to communicate with each other.[10] Subfields have grown up around particular institutions, the work of individual researchers, the solution of specific problems, longstanding differences of opinion about how AI should be done and the application of widely differing tools. The central problems of AI include such traits as reasoning, knowledge, planning, learning, communication, perception and the ability to move and manipulate objects.[11] General intelligence (or "strong AI") is still a long-term goal of (some) research.[12]
History
Main articles:History of artificial intelligence and Timeline of artificial intelligence
Thinking machines and artificial beings appear in Greek myths, such as Talos of Crete, the golden robots of Hephaestus and Pygmalion"s Galatea.[13] Human likenesses believed to have intelligence were built in every major civilization:animated statues were worshipped in Egypt and Greece[14] and humanoid automatons were built by Yan Shi,[15] Hero of Alexandria,[16] Al-Jazari[17] and Wolfgang von Kempelen.[18] It was also widely believed that artificial beings had been created by Jābir ibn Hayyān,[19] Judah Loew[20] and Paracelsus.[21] By the 19th and 20th centuries, artificial beings had become a common feature in fiction,as in Mary Shelley"s Frankenstein or Karel Čapek"s R.U.R.(Rossum"s Universal Robots).[22] Pamela McCorduck argues that all of these are examples of an ancient urge,as she describes it,"to forge the gods".[6] Stories of these creatures and their fates discuss many of the same hopes, fears and ethical concerns that are presented by artificial intelligence.
Mechanical or "formal" reasoning has been developed by philosophers and mathematicians since antiquity. The study of logic led directly to the invention of the programmable digital electronic computer, based on the work of mathematician Alan Turing and others.Turing"s theory of computation suggested that a machine,by shuffling symbols as simple as "0" and "1",could simulate any conceivable act of mathematical deduction.[23] This, along with recent discoveries in neurology, information theory and cybernetics, inspired a small group of researchers to begin to seriously consider the possibility of building an electronic brain.[24]
The field of AI research was founded at a conference on the campus of Dartmouth College in the summer of 1956.[25] The attendees, including John McCarthy,Marvin Minsky,Allen Newell and Herbert Simon, became the leaders of AI research for many decades.[26] They and their students wrote programs that were,to most people, simply astonishing:[27] computers were solving word problems in algebra, proving logical theorems and speaking English.[28] By t

要一篇英语文章 关于科学的趣事
In simple terms, the primary purpose of the Discussion is to show the relationships among observed
facts. To emphasize this point,I always tell the old story about the biologist who trained a flea.
After training the flea for many months, the biologist was able to get a response to certain commands.
The most gratifying of the experiments was the one in which the professor would shout the command
"Jump," and the flea would leap into the air each time the command was given.
The professor was about to submit this remarkable feat to posterity via a scientific journal, but he—in
the manner of the true scientist—decided to take his experiments one step further. He sought to
determine the location of the receptor organ involved. In one experiment,he removed the legs of the
flea, one at a time. The flea obligingly continued to jump upon command, but as each successive leg
was removed, its jumps became less spectacular. Finally, with the removal of its last leg,the flea
remained motionless.Time after time the command failed to get the usual response.
The professor decided that at last he could publish his findings. He set pen to paper and described in
meticulous detail the experiments executed over the preceding months. His conclusion was one
intended to startle the scientific world:When the legs of a flea are removed, the flea can no longer hear.

Science is a body of empirical, theoretical, and practical knowledge about the natural world, produced by a global community of researchers making use of scientific methods, which emphasize the observation, explanation, and prediction of real world phenomena by experiment.Given the dual status of science as objective knowledge and as a human construct, good historiography of science draws on the historical methods of both intellectual history and social history.
Tracing the exact origins of modern science is possible through the many important texts which have survived from the classical world. However, the word scientist is relatively recent—first coined by William Whewell in the 19th century.Previously, people investigating nature called themselves natural philosophers.
While empirical investigations of the natural world have been described since Ancient Greece (for example,by Thales,Aristotle, and others),and scientific methods have been employed since the Middle Ages (for example,by Ibn al-Haytham,Abū Rayhān al-Bīrūnī and Roger Bacon),the dawn of modern science is generally traced back to the early modern period, during what is known as the Scientific Revolution that took place in 16th and 17th century Europe.
Scientific methods are considered to be so fundamental to modern science that some — especially philosophers of science and practicing scientists — consider earlier inquiries into nature to be pre-scientific.
